44th THEATER SEASON

King Lear is considered by many as William Shakespeare’s best work. A story of a king whose rash judgment, firm faith in filial piety, violence and blindness caused so much destruction and finally his own undoing. The title character descends into madness after foolishly disposing of his estate between two of his three daughters based on their flattery, bringing tragic consequences for all.
